Why AM/FM Radios Will Soon Become Extinct

The days of AM/FM radios are numbered, and the item responsible for ending their lifespan is the Internet car radio. The people who listen to traditional radio stations in their cars and trucks have really kept AM/FM radios alive for the past decade or so, even with the rise of MP3 players. When I was a kid growing up, the M in MTV actually stood for music and aside from a couple hilarious cartoons and one or two reality shows, you got exactly what you thought you were getting – non-stop music. You could leave the television going and your favorite songs would blare while you did your homework or just relaxed.

Then something happened and the music on MTV suddenly disappeared – replaced by a never ending reality television shows. .

That’s why I got Directv Cable and if you enjoy real music television, you might just want to visit their site. They offer hundreds of music channels and that’s exactly what they are: television channels of music. There are no interruptions and there are no irrelevant programs – you get nothing but music. Every channel is devoted to a different genre and they run the gamut from smooth jazz to stadium rock to classic rock and even some indie stuff you might not have heard of.

So stop only going to MTV. If you want to see how real music television is done then I can’t think of a better place to start than DirecTV.
